B06 Welcoming and Including Students with Disabilities in Parish Faith Formation Programs

The Church calls us to recognize the dignity and gifts of every child as a beloved member of the Body of Christ. This session will explore pastoral and practical approaches to welcoming and including children and youth with disabilities in parish faith formation programs. Participants will learn strategies for adapting lessons and environments, fostering a culture of belonging, and accompanying families with understanding and care. Through real-life examples and resources, this workshop will provide both inspiration and practical tools to support catechists and parish leaders in creating communities where all students can grow as disciples

C08 Forming Families in Faith in Parish and Catholic School Settings

Faith is first nurtured in the home, where families become the “domestic Church.” Parishes and Catholic schools are called to walk alongside parents and guardians, equipping them to share the joy of the Gospel and nurture the faith of their children. This session explores practical and pastoral strategies for partnering with families, building strong connections between parish and school communities, and fostering a culture where faith is lived and celebrated together. Participants will discover ways to support parents as the primary catechists of their children, strengthen parish-school collaboration, and create opportunities for families to grow together as disciples of Christ.
