Planning anything for young people takes time, requires deliberate reflection, and demands attention to detail. The essential question for this workshop is: "How can you plan effectively for your young people?" We will look at planning through the lens of project management. Participants are asked to bring an event or initiative they would like to plan for the coming year and we will apply a process of project management that will help to achieve a successful experience for your youth.

Ministering among adolescents can be challenging as much as it is rewarding. After working with young people for over three decades, there is much to share from my experience. Whether you are new to youth ministry or an experienced minister, this workshop will be driven by your questions, concerns, and challenges as we converse about your ministerial experiences. I will offer a variety of tips and resources in response to your pastoral realities as a way of helping you gain new wisdom for your ministry.

THE BIBLE AND MIGRATION. Migration is central to the Bible. We will trace Israel’s journey with YHWH through cycles of forced migration and return: from Adam and Eve, Abraham, Moses, and the Exodus to the Prophets and Babylonian exile. We will see echoes of the Exodus in Jesus’ life and examine migrants’ role in the early Church’s rapid growth through Acts and Paul’s letters, incorporating recent archaeological and historical research on these figures and communities.

LA BIBLIA Y LA MIGRACIÓN. La migración es un tema central de la Biblia. Seguiremos a Israel junto a Yahvé en ciclos de migración forzada y retorno: desde Adán y Eva, Abraham, Moisés y el Éxodo hasta los profetas y el exilio en Babilonia. Veremos ecos del Éxodo en la vida de Jesús y el papel de los migrantes en el crecimiento de la Iglesia primitiva narrado en Hechos y en las cartas de Pablo, incorporando investigaciones arqueológicas e históricas recientes.

El Sagrado Corazón de Jesus en iconografía - Entre los católicos hispanos, la devoción al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús florece no solo en nuestras iglesias, sino también en lo más profundo de nuestros hogares. Al analizar la historia, la teología y las expresiones artísticas de esta devoción, los participantes descubrirán cómo profundizar en su propia vida espiritual al incorporar este rico patrimonio visual a sus espacios cotidianos.
